WELCOME to Nest by Tamara blog
Hi- It's Tamara. I'm happy you've stopped by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events and I have lots to share. I'm grateful to have been listed as the #1 top design blog, blogs to watch, top design blogs and named and awarded Rising Star of Design by the IFDA NY industry organization. Please feel free to reach out to our team for an interior design consultation at NestbyTamara.com -Tamara

Let's Celebrate Love today and all week! Gratitude comes to mind...

Let's talk about Love
on
Valentines Day

Love is what motivates us much of the time,
and on February 14 we adorn our loved ones with sweets...

champagne perhaps...

flowers...

It's fun to honor the people we love on this special day
but this holiday was extra special for me this year
because I was able to share these sentiments
with a group dedicated to
helping children in the community.

I was invited to a Valentines Day soiree in the home of the fabulously talented and stylish

Pamela Morgan where we celebrated our commitment
to a special non-profit organization dedicated to children in need,
The Flawless Foundation.

Check out Pamela's website and blog here for insider tips and expert advice.

Pamela is on board helping Flawless with their annual Gala event on April 9 at the beautiful and historic Otto Khan Burden Mansion in New York City.  We are in good hands with Pamela and there is no doubt she will show us the way to an extraordinary evening filled with much love and style as we honor the doctors that have been crucial in the industry.  An award ceremony, a cocktail celebration and a sit down dinner will unfold during this special evening on April 9.

Pamela's company FLAVORS is your home on the Web for special event planning and culinary sophistication. Pamela offers great advice -

"my goal is simple — to help everyone savor a richer,
more flavorful life through sensational entertaining,
inventive dishes and a fresh approach to social occasions".
the gracious hosts Pamela and Michael
But tonight we were celebrated in Pamela and Michael's exquisite home overlooking

central park.  They adorned us with delectable treats, champagne and a lovely presentation given by Chairman Janine Francolini.  The excitement about the upcoming Gala infused the room.  We nibbled on treats, chatted, watched a special video about many of the exciting programs Flawless is taking part in the community, bought tickets for the event and topped off the evening with a special Valentine gift for our Chairman!

Gratitude is a word
that comes to mind often
 in the Flawless community
Pamela and Janine giving us the skinny
on all the exciting details of the upcoming event.

The enthusiasm swirled as guests celebrated the holiday.
We were buzzing with all the goodness Flawless brings to the community.

a proud mom beaming at all her daughter has accomplished
in a few short years since launching the Flawless Foundation.

A hard working team pulling together for a great cause.
my teenage daughter is volunteering to help with the event as well.
