Welcome to Nest by Tamara

Welcome to Nest by Tamara
I have been blogging since 2008. Nest by Tamara is a lifestyle blog inspired by my busy, full life as a NYC interior designer. I muse about interior design, antiques, architecture, gardening, cooking and entertaining – all that encompasses “nesting” to create a well-lived life and a stylish home. This is not a DIY blog nor a super snobby, stuffy view, but instead a philosophy of infusing a relaxed elegance into your home through investing in high quality products but mixed with budget pieces because we are always on the prowl for a bargain, and all the while keeping creativity as your secret weapon. My posts help you to continue to be the style seeker you are, juggling it all, and yet, you long for the most beautifully set table, albeit sometimes your pot is bubbling over just as the guests arrive. I show you how to utilize your time, keep quality in your back pocket, and smile while you enjoy the fabulous ride! Email me at TamaraStephenson1@gmail.com

Designers create beauty for Holiday House NYC: Charlotte Moss, Tobi Fairley, Janet Rice, Suzanne Eason

I was blown away with the beautiful spaces
at this year's
Holiday House
in
New York City
You saw my sneak peek yesterday of Claudia Giselle's designs,
now take a look at some of my other 2012 favorites:

Charlotte Moss's
Every Day Is A Holiday

 Charlotte Moss Collection for Fabricut

as usual, Charlotte's space is regal, refined
and with an emphasis on detailing
Charlotte sits at a desk from Mecox Gardens.
In addition to being a talented interior designer,
she designs fabric, wallpaper and furniture.
Many pieces in the room are from
the Charlotte Moss Collection
for Century furniture.

 Tobi Fairley's
Spring Forward

Dunes and Dutchess Sconces

Tobi's black and white story is dramatic, and with pops of pink it packs a punch.
It's always fun to photograph her rooms since they are colorful and  graphic.  I immediately spotted friend @stacyctyle's candlebras from @dunesanddutchess line in black sconces and Phillip Jeffrie's new wallpaper
Suzanne Eason's
Origins of Life a Birthday Study

I love Suzanne's exploration of color and scale.
The Trove wallpaper added just the right impact,
and set against the vivid green lamps, green and blue fabrics and
fabulous accessories the room is very sophisticated.

Lee W. Robinson's
Chinese New Year
a southern gentleman from Kentucky,
Lee brings a lovely layering of
fabrics, wallpaper and trim to a small
space and celebrating the year of the dragon.

Janet Rice's
The Elegant Affair

check out Janet's new line of furniture and lamps and all available on her website.
the Gracie wallpaper was tweaked just for this space with butterfly touches,
and it was just the right aesthetic needed to brighten up this dark space.  Janet added sparkle with the lamps, the white flowers, the crystal and a metallic paint on the trim
Stop back tomorrow for two more favorite rooms
