out & about in New York City, a pop up shop showing design Inspiration with Vignettes by Viyet & FLOR Soho

Out & About:
Design in New York City,
Fall 2014
Last night's Vignettes by Viyet was a festive and fun pop-up shop, offering design fodder during a busy season.
Interior designer & design blog author of Ask Patrick,
Patrick J. Hamilton brought his fastidious attention to detail by showing a gentleman's sitting area, complete with pinstriped fabric and leather trim on the sofa, and shown along with a layered tapestry-like cozy rug. The vignette was organic in feel with myriad textures in a natural frame, and offering up mixed metals, wood and ceramics.

duo team
Jennifer Beek and Georgie Hambright of J&G Design, created a black, ecru and grey geometric rug pattern and set it against iconic Andy Warhol-inspired designs, modern, edgy furniture and pops of dramatic color. The 'Mad for Mod' vignette is fresh and fun.

delicious tacos were served
and, a large crowd turned out to celebrate.
I am happy to note that some of the proceeds of this evening's event will go towards Housing Works.  These two vignettes will be on display and open to the public at the FLOR showroom in Soho through the holiday season, with all items for sale.
