Our Favorite Tables at the 2019 Lenox Hill Gala in Cipriani's Grand Central Station Ballroom

Spring Has Sprung In New York City
With Ten Beautiful Tables At
The 2019 Lenox Hill Gala
To me, the Lenox Hill gala kicks of Spring in New York City each year with the annual black-tie charity dinner and dance.  On the evening of April 18 the gala was hosted in Cipriani's Grand Central Station's ballroom (formerly a historic bank). It brings together a stylish set of titans of industries with incredibly talented interior designers, artists and floral designers who hail from all over the country.  Each table is designed in the year's theme, and all to benefit the Upper East Side's community home, the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.  2019 marked the neighborhood house's 150th anniversary with the theme
The Future Starts Now!
it was hard to choose only ten with so many gorgeous tables, but here are our favorites...
Our gems of the earth table marked the fifth year we decorated a table for the Lenox Hill gala.  We showcased our root cellar designsnew spring 2019 collection, gems on a new textile we manufacture, Sateen Luxe to create the table linen, dinner napkins and seat backs and covers.  We created the centerpiece tower with 150 tiffany-colored boxes encrusted with 250 white roses, surrounded by vintage blue glasses and French fish plates, a maypole ribbon cascading, and topped with a globe we handpainted channeling Grand Central Station's ceiling!

Designers Zandy Gammons and Liles Dunnigan are owners of the Warehouse 1924 shop in Raleigh, NC.  We love the bold and futuristic tropical them with those stylish Schumacher chair covers, Cowtan & Tout table skirt, but the Versace chargers from Replacements brought it to a whole other level of cool!
Ngala Trading's Africa Uprising table showcased their iconic leather strap urchin chandelier as the centerpiece (creatively done).  We love the Ngala cow horn votives and porcupine quills, and the little pillows on each seat too!
Catherine M. Austin's Una Festa Futurismo is a
beautiful table set for a celebratory feast- textiles are modern and cool from Lindsay Cowles, and those gorgeous  Plates by Marie Daage are so pretty.
Shayla Copas' orange, grass green and fuchsia palette was stunning.  A nice touch that the butterflies were woven into the floral arrangement.  A pretty trio of plates by Mottahedeh, Kim Seybert flatware and chargers- Wow- the table was jam-packed with colorful goodies.  We especially loved the orange chairs from World's Away

Harry Heissman had many wonderful surprises up his sleeve on the table called "Lift Off- the Rocket".  We went back time and time again to soak up all the details.  Bespoke table linens from Pierre Frey, dinner napkins from Tillet Textiles with a gorgeous bee-hive-esque plume overhead then flowing jewel-colored spring flowers on the table. Divine!
Fete Home took their plethora of new tabletop goodies and whipped up a stunning table.  With rattan chargers and a gorgeous red and white floral-flame table linen, it was all swept up in an elaborate floral arrangement of fresh, spring blossoms. The best part- everything on the table is available on their website!
Melanie Roy created a vibrant green palette on her table with jewel tone vases- a modern vision with sculptural silhouette.  We love the Kim Seybert gem napkin rings and those hand stitched dinner napkins against the glorious green chargers is lovely.
Kristen McCory's red, white and blue table was so pretty.  We love the plates from Carolina Irving and Daughters which channel antique Blue Willow yet hold a modern appeal.  Her bespoke table linen from Schumacher was tailored and chic.
Mally Skok showcased her new furniture collection with Dowel furniture by setting the table surrounded by her new Klismos chairs just launched at Spring High Point Market then upholstered in Emmie fabric design from her own line.  The Proteas flowers are the official flower from her home in South Africa.  We also loved the colored glass and patterned pottery!
Happy Nesting
XO Tamara
