With one more week left until the Junior League of High Point Designer Showhouse is open to the public, we are excited share our thoughts and photographs. We are grateful to be one of the design firms included in transforming this home in High Point, NC. The designed home debuted to a celebratory crown with an Opening Night Gala the Friday evening of Fall High Point Market. It felt right that the design community should come together on a local project such as this during Market. The house is open until November 4, 2019 so please visit if in the area. The Dalton-Bell-Cameron House is the first documented Craftsman style home in the area. It has had a sordid past with two devastating fires since it was built in 1913 which left it in shambles. The High Point Preservation Society got the Junior League of High Point involved in creating a showhouse, and Aspire magazine was brought in as well. It became a community effort to make this important home shine. The designers chosen brought their A-game, and both local and nationally known interior designers came together. The house is located in the historic district of High Point at 1013 Johnson Street on a tree-lined street just outside of the infamous High Point Market which sets up shop twice a year. Some of the emerging trends that came out of the house and we saw a variety of designers creating-- lots of color and unusual color pairings and this house showed a lot of blue; a return to traditional design; antiques; lots of wallpaper and wallcoverings, painted ceilings.
