Hi- It's Tamara. I'm happy you've stopped by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events and I have lots to share. I'm grateful to have been listed as the #1 top design blog, blogs to watch, top design blogs and named and awarded Rising Star of Design by the IFDA NY industry organization. about root cellar designs:
Tamara Matthews-Stephenson and Susan Young
Tamara Matthews-Stephenson and Susan Young are long-time friends hailing from the fashion and interior design industries, coming together to make quality, beautiful wares for the home. Channeling the artistry of women hundreds of years ago who canned fruits and vegetables from the farm in their root cellar, the duo utilizes Tamara's astute eye, sense of color and demand for quality with Susan's artistry and fine attention to detail. The result is fresh innovative fabrics and designs. Committed to Made in the USA, the team collaborates with workrooms in the New York City garment district to support the local trade.

In addition to fabric and wallpaper to the design-industry trade, the company sells a bevy of fabulous products to the consumer while utilizing the fabric collections — finished products made with Linen Cotton, Canvas Cotton, Cotton Sateen Luxe and/or outdoor textile Porch.
