Thanks for stopping by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events. I have been asked to write on these subjects for magazines and online media, and I also regularly host events and talk on these subjects. My Unexpected Journey As 
a Travel and Design Writer 
After writing my first few stories over here on Nest by Tamara in 2010, I quickly started receiving invitations to take my journals on the road through sponsored design tours.  I was hand picked (usually with a group of other writers) to travel to design-industry festivals and events all over the world.  We embarked upon the travel, food, art, culture of the area and usually centered around a design and history event.  Our job was to soak it all in, then write reviews and recaps to our readers, as well as writing for select publications as well.  See a sampling of my stories following my travels.
