Blogtour Nola: historic, architecture, design, food inspired musings in New Orleans during the KBIS kitchen and bath show
I'm off to New Orleans
for five days of design fun, and all thanks to
Modenus' Blogtour

What is blogtour?
you may remember last year I posted stories here
about my sponsored design trip to London.

Modenus hand-picks writers and designers on jaunts all over the world to muse about design. Veronika chooses bloggers who fit the writing style and audience for each particular trip, which are sponsored by design industry companies. In return, we write about design and take inspiration from the tours we embark upon during our trip. Since our tour is usually centered around an interior design show, there is much fodder, but we also took in local architecture, food, interior design and history. For London, we attended Decorex, Tent London, and 100 Percent, and also visited museums, gardens, private homes, designer's studios and arts shows.
With each blogtour Veronika reaches back to former Blogtour attendants to procure advise and welcome the next group to their home town. MyCity is a concept that helps Blogtour visitors feel like an "insider" and welcomes them.

for English writers touring New York City
Since that maiden voyage to London where Modenus worked out many logistics including moving fifteen writers, who all need working electronics, on a whirlwind tour overseas, Veronika has bravely embarked upon these tours on a regular basis. Design-industry brands are seeing the value of having a group of writers inundated with their new products. In the industry, writers and designers are keeping their finger's crossed they will be hand-picked by Veronika to attend one of these coveted tours.

TOUR RESTORED HOMES and ARCHITECTURE...

the architecture has some of the most unique in the States,
and I cannot wait to document it all
This is a very exciting trip for me since New Orleans is in a state of transformation after the epic storm that nearly ruined them -- they are re-building and recuperating. Part of our important mission during this tour is to bring that story back to you.
REPORT from KBIS
ON the LATEST KITCHEN & BATH PRODUCTS...
I hope to bring you innovative kitchen and bath designs and new products culled from the the KBIS show, which is exhibiting in New Orleans for the first time.
We will embark upon historic house tours, rebuilding projects, listen to great music, eat delicious meals, ride a trolley car, take in the wonders of this city, and even meet up with designer Miles Redd! Please follow my stories here.the architecture has some of the most unique in the States,
