Happy Thanksgiving from East Hampton with a special Holiday Weekend House Tour

I hope you are having a wonderful
Thanksgiving Weekend!
The annual 2015
East Hampton Historic House Tour
kicks off tomorrow

This Thanksgiving we are traveling to California, so no cooking for me.  I will only miss cooking Thanksgiving a bit, but I will certainly miss this annual House Tour, which is a rare opportunity to take in views of some of the finest architectural homes in East Hampton. For Us, Thanksgiving Weekend Is Not Complete Without
the East Hampton Historic House Tour.

Please note, the 2015 East Hampton Tour benefiting the East Hampton Historical Society is primed to begin this Saturday.  With fives houses on this year's tour the event promises an interesting mix of architectural styles.  Kicking off with a festive
Opening Night Cocktail Party tomorrow evening,
Friday November 27
from 6-8pm,
the house tour will then officially begin the next day
Saturday, November 28 from 1-4:30 pm
About The Cocktail Party:
“Where Lily Pond Lane Meets Georgica Beach”
The Opening Night Cocktail Party
will be held at this oceanfront estate in a stunning summer home.  Well-known architect John Custis Lawrence created a modern take on Arts & Crafts architecture with incredible views. Tickets to the Opening Cocktail Party costs $200 each, which includes entry to the House Tour the following day.
About the House Tour:
Tickets to the 2015 East Hampton House & Garden Tour cost $65 in advance and $75 on the day of the tour. Stop into East Hampton Historic Society at 101 Main Street Tues-Sat 10am-330 pm to pick up tickets, or head to their website at www.easthamptonhistory.org or call 631-324-6850
Not in the East End of Long Island this weekend,

An added surprise to the tour is offering the opportunity to view the Thomas & Mary Nimmo Moran house and studio.  Not usually open to the public, this studio is in the throes of restoration.  This historic structure was built in 1884, and one of the first artist’s studios in East Hampton, playing a significant role in American art history.
 Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Nesting
XO Tamara
