Last week I was a panel expert and gave a trend talk at the Cliff Young showroom at the New York Design Center. If you missed it, please check out our recap here on the blog next week. I narrowed the current trends for 2016 down to four important categories. It was a difficult feat because there are many important design industry trends that are currently influencing our home design, however, the ones I highlighted are movements that are here to stay. Fantastical Tabletop topped my list because entertaining in the home is showing a resurgence with hosts getting more creative and utilizing the myriad products available on the market. With this week's annual Architectural Digest magazine's Home Show in New York City at Pier 92 & Pier 94 there is much to celebrate in home design, but the adjoining table designs at DIFFA's Dining By Design brings it altogether in a way that makes us want to break bread this spring with panache.

Quite the crowd turned out for the gala cocktail party this past Thursday evening to celebrate the 19th Annual DINING BY DESIGN, which raises almost a million dollars annually to fight HIV/AIDS. DIFFA invites over 50 talented interior designers to transform this raw space into a fantasy, with industry brands showcase their products and talents.
