A Glamorous & Philanthropic Evening at the New York Botanical Garden's 25th Anniversary & Antique Garden Furniture Fair Kick Off Party

NYBG's 25th Anniversary Antique Garden Furniture Fair

Spring in New York City is glowing with beautiful philanthropic events, that keep this urban oasis in its splendor.

last week's NYBG’s 25th Anniversary Antique Garden Furniture Fair Kick Off with Benefit Preview Party and Renowned Collectors’ Plant Sale Was a Perfect Example of Creativity, Beauty and Philanthropy Coming Together.  With a turnout of over 600 guests, it was a fantastic evening. This year's theme of Whimsical  Design was created by Designer Chairman and Stylemaker Ken Fulk who, together with Renowned Antique Exhibitors,  Showcased Fine Garden Antiques in creative vignettes, and all for sale.   Additionally, ELLE DECOR Interiors Editor and acclaimed stylist Robert Rufino  created a festive outdoor lounge for the Fair in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory Courtyard.
Ken Fulk set the tone by celebrating the iconic honeybee in his designs and guests were greeted by a swarm of yellow-jacketed valets and led down a gold runway into the Conservatory’s Palms of the World Gallery.  To add to the whimsy, honey-themed cocktails were served and guests were beckoned into the magical garden setting of the renowned Collectors’ Plant Sale.  Guests from the philanthropic, interior and landscape design, architecture, and art worlds turned out for the Preview Party then participated in a Silent Auction and NYBG’s Collectors’ Plant Sale.  Proceeds benefited NYBG’s Fund for Horticulture,  supporting the work of the curators and gardeners responsible for making The New York Botanical Garden one of the most important events in New York City this spring!  Judging from the glitzy crowd alone, it was a smashing success!

Happy Nesting XO Tamara
