Favorite Moments In Melanie Turner's Room At The Hamptons Designer Showhouse, July 2016
A Series of Sneak Peeks of The Hampton Designer Showhouse
in Sag Harbor, New York:
First Stop To Visit Melanie Turner's Lounge
The Hampton Designer Showhouse rolled into town, and Saturday evening was the Gala Opening Event on a beautiful summer evening. Over the next few weeks, I will share my many favorite moments. Today, here are glimpses of Melanie Turner's Lounge. One part St. Barths, other part all Hamptons, Melanie Turners Lounge is luxurious and detailed yet edited with a special summer feel. I love all the layering of textures--rattan, rope and all with nubby white and ecru accessories, furnishings and rugs.
Sponsored every year by Traditional Home magazine, this showhouse does a fantastic job of inviting both local and world renowned interior designers to showcase their talent and bring us stellar design in the heart of summer here in the Hamptons. This year the house is small and classic, and I love the layout. It certainly feels as if each designer collaborated in a small way together giving the design of the home a special cohesive feeling. It almost feels move-in ready. The designers worked well together and there was a sense of minimalism yet with a classic bent.
If in the area, stop into the

How delightful is this rope chandelier from Mecox Gardens?!
There were several furniture pieces from Bradley throughout the Lounge, and all in creamy colors and modern lines. The Claude table by Bradley USA
is versatile and modern, yet has that familiarity of classic design
the Faux Bois wallpaper by Cole & Sons is delightful and the tone on tone neutral palette brings a modern beach vibe.
