  Today, we stopped into Kirby and Company for a little bit of cheer as well as some serious holiday shopping.  The newly expanded home and design store in the quaint shopping section of Darien, Connecticut, is delightful.  The staff is warm and welcoming, and from the moment you step  into this cozy shop, you feel the holidays are in full throttle.  This is one-stop shopping for your holiday needs, and Kirby and Company is chock-filled with a plethora of gift items to check off your holiday list.  We marveled at the selection of jewelry, accessories, note cards and other gift items, but also noted they provide great hostess gift options as well--from candles to artisan-made chocolates.  They also recently expanded the store and now offer a coffee and snack bar to take a break from the shopping.

Plus, a New Interior Design Studio 
at Kirby and Company... 



The newly added interior design studio helps make Kirby and Company even more interesting while giving customers a chance to create bespoke design products for the home.  They offer fabric and wallpaper by the yard, custom rugs, and even a new monogram service.   The staff encourages interior designers to bring their projects and clients in while offering them a bevy of artisan-made products not found elsewhere.  We at root cellar designs are proud that our fabric and wallpaper are represented in the studio. They also sell a great selection of ready-made items for the home--pillows, decorative trays, and unique art which they source from all over the world.

It's a colorful, fun shop that takes the stress out of holiday shopping.  I encourage you to stop in to pick up holiday gifts and home decor items, and maybe sample a delicious cappuccino to top off the experience.
