Design Post: Spring Round-Up of Our Favorite Lamps

9 Favorite Table Lamps of 2017
with an "All That Glitters" Feeling
With this story showcasing our favorite table lamps, I am reminded of my favorite childhood poem, Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost. To me, this classic poem highlights the fragility of what we hold dearest, the "gold" in our lives, and how fleeting it can be. I memorized this poem as a mere third grader, and kept it written in my journal for years, and long before I knew the real depth of its meaning.

Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold.Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
On that note, check out our round-up design series which will continue here through April. There are many beautiful items on the home market this season. Today, we bring you our favorite table lamps, all new this Spring. Table lamps can transform a room, and it is relatively easy to switch out lamps, so they are not the same commitment as a larger more expensive item. Table lamps are a great investment because they are flexible and can work in many spaces, and they are not that expensive to boot. Lighting is all about providing various options-- set the mood with varying light such as table lamps, standing lamps and sconces. I like to have at least one pair of table lamps per room, as they bring the light source to eye level.
