TRAVEL POST: Bloodline Set Design Inspires Key West Style on Nest by Tamara blog
Let's Talk Today About
The House from Netflix's "Bloodline"
shot on the beautiful Key West island
of Islamorada
So, one of the NetFlix series we have been binge watching has now been cancelled, which leaves us hanging. So many loose ends we will never figure out. However, the set design and location of this show has us yearning for more details about this place...set between Miami and Key West, The Moorings Village is set on 18 acres in Islamorada. It's a tropical oasis with beachfront and over 800 coconut palm trees including 19 private villas and lush landscape. The villas are one to three bedrooms and furnished in a quintessential Key West decor. It is the family-owned resort belonging to the Rayburn family, but in real life it is called the Blue Charlotte House on the Moorings Village & Spa in real life. The resort, and the home personifies the dream of the Keys. Mesmerized by the Cuban concrete blue tile in the back splash of the kitchen, the large porches and Caribbean blue blue shutters. The kitchen was recreated in a set by designer Scott P. Murphy.
