My Favorite Design Event Hits The Hamptons- The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show, 2019

Weekend News In The Hamptons:
The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show
Returns To The East End on July 19-21, 2019!
For the thirteenth year, this antique and design show kicks-off the festivities with their renowned Friday evening celebration followed by two days of antique shopping at the historic Mulford Farm in East Hampton
If you read Nest by Tamara, you know I love antiques.  Design trends come and go, but incorporating antiques into our homes is here to stay.  It's even more relevant now with a return to classicism these days. What I love in design is how the talents in our industry are smartly combining modern, edgy design with beautiful patina from the past. With that juxtaposition, we keep our homes fresh and inspiring.

Both the preview cocktail party and the antique show takes place on the bucolic Mulford Farm, located in the village at 10 James Lane in East Hampton. Maintained by the East Hampton Historical Society, this 3.5-acre property features a restored 17th-century farmhouse as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island.

The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show continues to pull collectors and dealers from around the country who offer stellar wares and art, with more than 50 antiques, art dealers, and all housed in billowy white tents across the farm. With a focus on vintage decorative items for the home and garden as well as art, there is much to choose from- rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American and European country decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes, and mirrors.
