Summer Begins For Me With The Return of The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show on July 12-14, 2024

I have attended and written about The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show here on Nest by Tamara for over a decade and it remains my favorite summer event in the East End. To me, it is an antique show like no other, and it draws over 50 antiques art dealers and collectors from around the country while offering their wares in the gorgeous historic Mulford Farm in billowy, white tents across the farmstead's rolling green lawn located on James Lane just behind the duck pond in the East Hampton Village. This beautiful 4-acre property boasts a restored 17th-century farmhouse as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island and it's maintained and well kept by the East Hampton Historical Society.

The show offers antique and vintage decorative items, furniture and art for the home and garden. I appreciate that there is a unique selection of rattan and bamboo furniture, an array of lighting, vintage textiles, architectural elements, American and European country decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes, and mirrors. It is refreshing to note that there are myriad styles of designs offered together in one place.  Over the years, I have picked up some eclectic pieces- from an antique spindle bed to beautiful and pristine condition antique plates and dinner ware. Years ago, I found my now favorite Irish garden gnome at the Early Buying Cocktail Party and it keeps watch over my flower garden today.

The festivities kick-off with the Preview Cocktail Party this Friday evening July 12 from 6 to 8 pm on the farm offering patrons early buying time while sipping cocktails and nibbling on delicious food (and there is great people watching to boot). Ticket proceeds from the Preview Cocktail benefit the East Hampton Historical SocietyThis year, principals of the architectural and interior design firm Ingrao, Inc.,Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper are the Honorary Chairmen of the cocktail party. You can purchase tickets to the Preview Cocktail Party Here.

“The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show brings everyone together amongst some of these glorious buildings so you can ‘Shop ‘til You Drop’ in this fabulous setting. A great, fun event where you can see beautiful items and meet beautiful people! Hope we will see you there!” added Randy Kemper.
