Part 1: A Moveable Feast With Our Favorite 9 Places To Eat and Drink in Paris

Our Deluge of
Food & Art in Paris
Part 1:
 Nine Iconic Places
to Eat & Drink
There are only two places in the world where we can be happy: at home and in Paris.
-Ernest Hemingway
outside the Petit Trianon designed during
Marie Antoinette's time in the Palace

Yes, I've read Hemingway's Moveable Feast to brush up on the Lost Generation in Paris, and I understand so much of that influence still in France. I've been fortunate to travel to the City of Lights many times but this visit it became a whirlwind of eating good food while filling all our time with visits to lots of museums to take in as much art as we could muster.  We did a great deal of walking (over 15,000 steps a day), and from a stop into Hemingway's Bar for an iconic cocktail, to fine dining, we enjoyed all the best Paris has to offer.

Next post I'll share a Part 2 with some art after visiting several museums and a couple snowy November days in Paris.

Happy Nesting
XO Tamara

Beautiful Art, But Let's Talk Food...

1. It started with lunch
(straight off the plane) at our favorite Chez George

2. No secret, but good eats never the less- a stop into
Le Relais de l'Entrecote
(three are three locations throughout Paris).  With only steak frites on the menu and a second free helping, this is a delicious bang for your buck.

3 & 4. two Alaine Ducasse's restaurants

a side by side photograph with
my husband and son
at the same table 20 years a part at Benoit

 5. lunch at Le Voltaire was a food and style highlight

6. a Sunday Brunch (insider secret )

7. cocktails at the Hemingway Bar
is a must for literary fans

8. & 9. while nothing extra special food-wise,
the ambiance (and people watching) is amazing at these two cafe staples
dinner at Brasserie Lipp
and dessert at Cafe de Flore
