WELCOME to Nest by Tamara blog
Thanks for stopping by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events. I have been asked to write on these subjects for magazines and online media, and I also regularly host events and talk on these subjects. I am grateful to have been listed as the #1 top design blog, blogs to watch, top design blogs and named and awarded Rising Star of Design by the IFDA NY industry organization. As Promised,
the 19th Annual East Hampton Antiques & Design Show
Offered Up Beautifully Styled Booths
and Lovely Antiques
Under a Summer Blue East End Sky

a pristine collection of Majolica at the entrance of the show

I enjoy seeing so much wicker and rattan ever-present at this show

tole lamps and unique chairs

From the walk through the Village to arrive at the show (I just love the many historic and regal homes in East Hampton) to the final moments sipping wine under the moonlight, this year's show was divine.

I found myself gravitating to a few booths repeatedly but there was plenty of shopping throughout the entire farm for antique lovers.  Mulford Farm is set behind the Duck Pond on the Village Green, and it is certainly hard to miss with the bucolic grounds complete with barns and even a historic windmill.  I love this show over others in the area because it draws a high-quality group of vendors including a nice mix of local antique dealers with others hailing from around the country.

The Preview Cocktail party with early buying was followed by two days of antique shopping and all hosted by the East Hampton Historical Society.  In case you missed it, we share a few favorite finds this year.

If oogling over historic, classic homes is your vibe, there is plenty of "eye candy" on the Village Green in East Hampton, and since many have become part of the East Hampton Historical Society's annual house tour in November, I am fortunate to have been inside a few.

arriving to the show, there are beautiful antiques as soon as you enter the gate. Check out our TikTok of these village homes

A Few of Our Favorites...

1. Andrew Spindler from Essex, Massachusetts
has a fastidious eye for high quality antiques, and each year I love that he peppers in textiles from Folly Cove (a consortium of women in the 1940s who created fabric in Gloucester, MA).   The colored glass and oxidized oversized crab were both a hit this year

2. We were charmed by the chairs and lamps
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Upon meeting the owner,
he confessed to having a special weakness and passion for lamps

3. I was smitten with the blue and cream
