WELCOME to Nest by Tamara blog
Thanks for stopping by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events. I have been asked to write on these subjects for magazines and online media, and I also regularly host events and talk on these subjects. I am grateful to have been listed as the #1 top design blog, blogs to watch, top design blogs and named and awarded Rising Star of Design by the IFDA NY industry organization. The 9th Annual Design Luncheon Returns to East Hampton's Maidstone Club

Hosted by the East Hampton Historical Society,
The 9th Annual Summer Design Luncheon Benefit
Returns With
Acclaimed Interior Designer Marshall Watson
As The Guest Speaker

past lunches shared at this annual event

The Annual Summer Design Luncheon at the iconic, historic Maidstone Club in East Hampton is a summer highlight.  This year will mark their 9th annual event where guests “lunch and learn” first with a guest speaker then sharing lunch in the beautiful dining room overlooking the Atlantic ocean.  This year’s speaker is local resident and critically acclaimed interior designer, Marshall Watson who will present a plethora of his projects, impart his wisdom and share ideas put forth in his newest book, Designing Elegance.

With work spanning from seaside homes in East Hampton to modern barn renovations in Napa Valley, Marshall has lots of design advice to share.

He will explore how his design principles adapt to various geographies and climates, and how he translates his client’s lifestyle, the house’s history and the setting to create a unique and highly elegant space.

Please note, the luncheon is made possible in part by the generous support of Doyle Auctioneers and Appraisers.
