Hi- It's Tamara. I'm happy you've stopped by, and since 2010 I've been sharing my passion for interior design, history, art, entertaining, travel & fashion. I am an interior designer, textile designer and writer living and working in New York City and East Hampton, Long Island. My musings have taken me to international design, art, antique and epicurean events and I have lots to share. I'm grateful to have been listed as the #1 top design blog, blogs to watch, top design blogs and named and awarded Rising Star of Design by the IFDA NY industry organization.  Ten Stellar Design Moments
at
Holiday House Hamptons, 2019

grateful to be interviewed and featured on House Tipster for our powder room design and utilizing our root cellar designs' wallpaper in the room.

We are excited to be included in a fantastic line-up of designers charged with transforming this modern, new 12,500 square foot home in Watermill, Long Island this summer, 2019.  The designers brought their A-game to the house and each room is exquisitely detailed.  It's hard to choose favorites, so instead we will highlight fantastic design moments in a few posts here this summer- these are places we are certain to take inspiration and anticipate looking back on after the show house has closed.  Please stop by Holiday House Hamptons until August 4 this summer at 90 Wild Goose Lane in Watermill, New York to take it all in.  This is the fourth Holiday House Hamptons in the East End, and as always Holiday House helps to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research while tapping into the best of the best in the design world.  For this project, HC&G magazine paired up with Holiday House to bring gorgeous views of this brand new home, which is also for sale by the way!
Happy Nesting

1.  A Kitchen To Inspire Cooking- This is a quintessentially gorgeous kitchen appointed with all the very best for the at-home chef!  Almost every view from the kitchen has gorgeous outdoor views of the pool and lush landscaped property so you never feel like your working away alone in the kitchen.  Local interior designer Elizabeth Dow Home paired up with Ciuffo Cabinetry to create the kitchen and butler's pantry which takes the typical white kitchen up a huge notch with all the detailing peppered with black detailing (love those bar stools and that chandelier) from bespoke cabinet pulls to the chunky counter top, we want to cook all day long in the Hamptons this summer!
2. The Most Tought-provoking Art in Patrik Lonn's "Givenchy Gentleman's Study" encourages visitors to linger and mull over these ethereal, almost dark pieces bringing weight to the light and gorgeous study. Starting with a classic and floral wallpaper, the Gentleman's Study is a lovely juxtaposition of both masculine and feminine touches.
3. Warm "nesting" vibes by Michael Del Piero and Lukas Machnik who created a casual yet sophisticated inviting dining room that promises the perfect Hampton's dinner fete! Stop into their shop in Wainscott to see more of the unique curated furniture and accessories.
4. A Welcoming Nook in the Mud room by
Ariane Brabant for California Closets shows all the possibility to stylishly store your summer necessities.  It's a thoughtfully curated space.
5. Decompress in this Rose Gold Spa Sanctuary by Barbara Lewis of The Lewis Design Group.  We love the metal palm trees in this pink respite.  The framed wallpapered chinoiserie panels bring a classic nod.

 6. Crazy beautiful bespoke wallpaper sets the tone for this bedroom designed by Cara Woodhouse Interiors where she used that frame to showcase her own modern collection of furniture, and a fantastic rug.
7. Great Use of Color by designer Amy Hill- She brought her color A-game by combining jewel-tones, a plum glass with the chandelier, green/yellow drapery and colorful art to her Palm Beach Hamptons Style.  Hill pulls it off with style!
8. Bjorn Bjornsson's beach house vibe is on-point using a blue and white color scheme.  The bedroom is grounded in this Hästens bed, their signature blue and white check and Bjornsson takes the theme and runs with it well.
9. Attention to Detail in on-point in Elsa Soyars' Master Bedroom.  From the fringe sconces to the art and furniture placement, she nails the bohemian, sophisticated lifestyle in the East End while bringing a modern sensibility and channeling a plethora of stellar wares including our favorites from Cliff Young in New York City.

10.  Just the Prettiest Guest Bedroom Ever!  Designer and shop/showroom owner, Elizabeth Pash showcases her love of classic design with unusual and beautiful touches.  The textured wallpaper by Cowtan & Tout sets the tone, then the raffia wrapped poster bed, gorgeous bed linens from Matouk and the many details (down to a fun summer bucket list) has us yearning for a weekend invitation in the Hamptons!
Stop back for ten more inspiring moments
at Holiday House Hamptons soon...
Happy Nesting
