High Point Spring Market 2016

Stepping out of the car to visit Calvin Klein Home at High Point Furniture Market was like a breath of fresh air.  Away from the crowds and hustle and bustle of Market, Calvin Klein Home's showroom is a quiet oasis of stylish wonder.  The company has established themselves as a specialty high-style brand for the home with a calm, cool, collected vibe of their very own.  The furniture, bedding and rugs are what you would envision from fashion icon Calvin himself--fashion forward with tactile textiles and  wonderfully edited to a simple silhouette, and all infused with a soothing color palette.  The furniture has clean lines with lots of nature-inspired detailing, and just a bit of drama and unexpected touches where needed, making the 

Curator Collection unique.  The furniture makes quite a statement, then when combined with the earthy rugs and modern lighting, the result is stunning.  Last week I wrote about the Calvin Klein Home rug collection at Nourison, and in case you missed it, take a look because there are some beautiful rugs in their line, and Nourison carries the entire Calvin Klein Home rug collection.   Here are some of our favorite pieces from the Curator Collection...

the beds

I especially adore the beds, and they feel indulgent and luxurious without all the fuss and ornamentation that many other bed manufacturers provide. My favorite is the dramatic dark charcoal upholstered Sweep Bed, and although it is simple it feels quite fashionable and even romantic in the brooding color and sloping upholstered back.  The team designed the showroom well this Market, and on the bedding showed a touch of asymmetry with the styling.

The Artisan Collection of Stoneware is inspired by nature, and made of hand-thrown  bisque fired with an all over glaze with textural variations.  These are color Mushroom.  The Chunky Throws are soft and luxurious to boot!
