RECIPE SHARE: Our Homemade Saketini Cocktail

Weekend Vibes Prevailed,
With A
Saketini Recipe Share

As a special occasion we headed out for an Omakase Tasting (a traditional Japanese course meal offering a bevy of Nigiri (fresh, raw fish) prepared by the chef and at his whim to surprise and delight guests.  But, beforehand, my husband whipped up a couple Sake Martinis or, as they are referred to in the trendy circles- a "SAKETINI"

It's the perfect almost-savory cocktail with a touch of mint but not laden with sugar. The secret lies in the shake, and my husband is convinced a vigorous shake over ice once the mint and cucumber are macerated in a metal shaker (has to be metal) for precisely 20 seconds and usually by then the outside metal shaker will have a little frost on it.  Strain and serve.  Voila, you are a master cocktail maker. You are welcome!
