Part 1- Our Visit to Five Spendid Homes for the 2024 East Hampton Historical House and Garden Tour
Part 1- House 1 & 2
Our Recap of the
2024 East Hampton
Historical House and Garden Tour
I am thrilled to share with you my tour of the 2024 East Hampton Historical Society House & Garden Tour. With my team in tow, we visited all five homes and their properties taking photographs, talking with the volunteers and enjoying every nook and cranny.
I truly love that the homes offered up uniquely express the varied styles of living and the spirit of the East End all while honoring history. It is also noteworthy that the East Hampton Historical House and Garden Tour is
the longest running house and garden tour in Eastern Long Island, In its 39th year, the tour this year was attended by hundreds of guests and was sold out earlier than ever before.
Bravo to the talented designers, the committee members and volunteers, and of course to those generous homeowners who donate their home for all of us to see for a few hours (and on the weekend of Thanksgiving that is probably no small feat for them). Please see Part 1, some of my favorite highlights this year and be certain to stop back for Part 2 for the rest of the homes showcased. Please check out the East Hampton Historical Society for more upcoming events.
Happy Nesting
XO Tamara

In Historic Springs
A House & Guest Cottage and Beautifully
Landscaped Property to Boot
In recent years, the Springs neighborhood in East Hampton has grown in popularity as a coveted areas to live. Hidden down a long driveway, this Oasis of Chic is sublimely decorated with magnificent gardens. The home is perched on 3.2 acres of land, and is nestled in the hamlet of Springs. Although it's not “historic,” as it was first built in 1998, the property certainly has history. The current owner is well known landscape designer Craig Socia who beautifully refashioned the home recently with a love repetition of colors in the main rooms- grays, blacks, oranges, beiges. Outside is manicured Cleveland pear allee lending a formal, French feel, dramatic weeping trees trees, and a gazebo of curved logs and branches. All making a for a perfect hidden oasis to entertain friends and family.

Sun and Ocean Washed Beauty in the Amagansett Dunes!
This hexagon-shaped beach house is owned by interior deisgner David Netto who renovated it in 2012 with the Meyer Davis Studio. They collaborated to give the home (originally built in 1980) a modern vibe. We loved the rooftop bedroom with soaring views of the ocean, and a bathroom/bathtub system incorporated into the bedroom space giving it a spa-like appeal. You can feel the love the family has for living this close to the ocean and for this unique home.
