a new rug collection taking outdoor designs indoors by Bunny Williams for Dash & Albert Rugs

bringing the outdoor garden
aesthetic indoors
is one of my most favorite design sensibilities!
I love the idea of bringing that relaxed elegance and beauty we see in classic, meandering English gardens to the inside of our home.  Interior designer Bunny Williams has been a pioneer in this design style, and one visit to her Upper East Side shop in New York City, Treillage, showcases her commitment and passion for creating a warm, inviting home inspired by the garden and landscape.  Since Bunny started this trend many moons ago, the design industry has latched onto this concept and gone with it -- as witness by our collective fascination with nature in design from the popularity of Faux Bois furniture and accessories to outdoor lighting for indoor use.

Additionally, I appreciate designer Annie Selke's Dash & Albert rug collections with a beautiful medley of colors and a soft finishes. You may remember last year I was invited by Annie to spend a splendid design weekend with Annie and her team. While visiting her headquarters, I picked up a pretty green textured rug at Annie's warehouse.  It now brightens up my patio under my pergola in East Hampton all year round.
"a peek behind the curtain of Annie’s studio are Lynn from Décor Arts Now, Amy from ABCD Design, Liz from Shorely Chic Interiors, and Tamara from Nest by Tamara. Design junkies that they are, they even put together a brand-new Annie Selke Pinterest board!"

It's exciting to note that these two talented designers have now paired up collaborating on a collection of indoor/outdoor rugs for Dash & Albert that are meant for both indoor and outdoor use.  The rugs are gorgeous to the touch, washable, durable, and reasonably priced to boot featuring a variety of patterns and color palettes in an eco-friendly, recycled-materials, and combines both their talents together in one design. In addition to the outdoor collection, Bunny also created a collection made with natural jute and earth-conscious vegetable dyes in a variety of patterns and colors--perfect for a covered porch.
