Favorite Design Spotting at Highpoint Furniture Spring Market with Bernhardt Furniture

Bernhardt Furniture Shows
Luxury & Sophistication at Spring Market,
Combining Modern and Classic Sensibilities While
Offering Family Heirlooms at Delightful Prices
Just back from Highpoint Market I am fresh with inspirations from my favorite brands.   Not only does attending Highpoint help me keep my finger on the pulse of what is new and fresh in American design, but it is a wonderful place to catch up with design friends and brands.  Bernhardt tops my list of favorite interior design brands.  When giving a tour of the the showroom, the team takes the extra time to describe much of the detailing and craftsmanship that goes into creating these rich pieces.  Although they debut new collections with fresh, modern appeal each season, Bernhardt is one of my favorites because the new collections add onto their classic furniture, with each piece likely to become a future family heirloom.  No matter how much time goes by most wares have staying power with their modern detailing yet classic appeal, quality and shape, making their pieces versatile and working equally well in both traditional or modern homes.
341-541 Salon Upholstered Dining Chairs
One can imagine how happy I was when the folks at Bernhardt donated a pair of these lovely Salon Chairs to my room at Design On A Dime.  Additionally, they've generously offered the Salon Mirror and a gorgeous ebony-colored Campos chest with quatrefoil pulls as well.

Our room at Design On a Dime gala is tonight, and we will show a Designer's Atelier, a mix of a classic and modern, edgy studio where two designers work side-by-side creating their fabrics and tabletop collections.  To have these special pieces from Bernhardt donated to our space will bring quality to our designs.  This is the 11th annual Housingworks  Design On a Dime with Elle Decor magazine as the media sponsor, and the event turns out quite an impressive array of design industry folks.  After a VIP viewing at 5:30 pm tonight the doors of the Metropolitan Pavilion are opened to ticketed folks and everything in our room is then sold at discounted prices, with proceeds going to Housingwork's efforts with Hull House.  I am grateful to Bernhardt Furniture for their
generous donations.

Spring Market for Bernhardt was all about Luxury, and I noted an even more attention to detail this season on their new pieces including eglomise, gold leafing, exotic leathers, metal work, unusual pulls and detailing, unique finishes on the wood and combining materials.  The quality is supreme, and while many of their furniture blends nicely with other styles, many can also stand alone as statement pieces in the home.
Happy Nesting
XO Tamara
