Skye Kirby Westcott of Lillian August poses for me in the Lillian August living room.  Skye sits next to the peacock sculpture, which inspired the design of the room, and in front of a beautiful panel of curtains made with Scalamandre fabrics.  Skye notes the rich, voluminous skirt she is wearing for the evening was generously custom designed for her by Scalamandre and matches the fabric in the room!
Each year Lillian August creates an impressive space for the Hampton Showhouse - this year is no exception.  For the past few years, long after the houses have sold, the buyers hired Lillian August to design their new home - a testament to consumers loving what they see.
Skye points out to me that the team thinks about the Hampton lifestyle when creating their spaces, and they work hard to create livable, comfortable designs while incorporating a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings.  The main living room overlooks the pool and patio with views of almost every corner of the downstairs.  Skye explains the neutral palette was chosen and works well with the kitchen and surrounding spaces creating a cohesive design scheme.

I caught Libby Langdon for a candid shot in her room, Libby is donning a vivid green dress which matches her punchy Fun Room perfectly well.  Read the story I wrote for Dan's Papers about Libby's designs

Tamara Kaye-Honey poses in her tricked out nursery with some beautiful accessories and fabrics.  Tamara showed me a few items she picked up locally.

Stop back tomorrow for more highlights of the Hampton Designer Showhouse, which will be open daily until September
