Top Dining Tables That Will Change Your Dining Room From Drab to Fabulous, High Point Market Finds 2019

 Our Nine
Favorite Dining Tables
In 2019
Ray Booth's Block dining table for Hickory Chair

Out of all the furniture in a home, the dining table can be the hardest to nab correctly.  The perfect dimensions and proportions combined with the design aesthetic are tough to find- and, don't underestimate the importance of this grand piece of furniture in the home.  You spend a great deal of time  here- eating, serving and hosting (everything from Thanksgiving to casual dinner gatherings).

While at High Point Market this spring I noticed several unique dining table designs and these are all a modern twist on classic design.  They have re-invented the dining table like nobody's business.  At Hickory Chair there was at least one I loved in every designer's collection, and I certainly appreciate the company's philosophy to Made in the U.S. with an emphasis on hand crafted items.  Here is a collection of nine of our favorites across the board, some unique and funky while others a classic with a modern twist- and we even added one that's a real bargain. 1. I enjoyed chatting with Ray Booth during High Point Market, and hearing about his vision for the brand new collection with Hickory Chair.  The Block Dining Table with three marble and steel legs is minimalist and sculptural and allows the top to cantilever off the base, giving it quite an elegant profile.  It was the showstopper in Booth's display at Market.
2. Lark by Hable for Hickory Chair is inspired by ceramic sculptures, and the hand carved appeal is gorgeous.  The Lark is flexible in configuring and offers two pedestals in 3 sizes for either a two-pedestal dining table or a center table or work table with one pedestal.

3. Bethan Gray Shamsian collection through EJ Victor offers an impressive array of beautifully handcrafted furniture.  The Lustre Marble Round Dining Table (a nice 60" round) has incredible craftsman work and offered in black, green, salome or white  marble
4. Bradley's Cecil dining table takes cool and hip to another level with the racetrack shape and two tone wood design- Whistler White top and Ebony base.  This table can be customized with any Bradley wood finish.
5. Another round beauty (because I'm partial to round dining tables) if by Michael Weiss for Vanguard - the Bosworth in Langdon finish with the detailed finish on the edge makes it both a modern and classic statement piece.
6. Four Hands Sculptural new designs introduced at High Point Market this April showed a plethora of pieces holding this modern style, easy edges. The Conner Dining Table has that classic with a twist vibe going on- a simple Parsons-style shape yet it wows in a black wash oak and a bluestone inset top with splayed legs.
7. This one is not just a perfect table but chairs too because Sarah Richardson for Palliser takes the brand up a notch in style.  This television star/interior designer created four new collections with Pallister in different genres- my favorite are the pieces in the Vista Collection which feels contemporary, almost California cool yet casual. I love the table and it's a perfect small size for apartment living, and the channeled upholstered chairs make it pop in this lovely modern yellow color.
8. Zephyr Round dining table with Universal Furniture blends various styles for a modern two-tone table- the base in a dramatic onyx color and the top in a lovely grained finish in warm tones.
9.  For those on a budget but don't want to skimp on style- the new Campbell dining table from The Novogratz's for DHP Furniture is smart looking.

Happy Nesting
XO Tamara
